Trams Refurbishment Program - A1 Class Tram Parts
As a key contributor to the Victorian State Government’s tram refurbishment initiative, Copamate proudly undertakes the refurbishment of doors and the manufacturing of new windows for the esteemed A1 class trams. This significant undertaking constitutes a crucial aspect of Melbourne’s broader tram modernisation effort, encompassing the refurbishment of over 85 percent of the city’s tram fleet.

HCMT - Onsite Paint Repair
Part of the on going Victorian fleet upgrade initiative, the Victoria State Government undertook the modernization of Melbourne’s Comeng train fleet. Copamate delivered on site vehicle body paint repair services. This project is still being serviced with reliable services on the Victorian fleet sight.

As part of the Victorian fleet upgrade initiative, the Victoria State Government undertook the modernisation of Melbourne’s Comeng train fleet. This extensive upgrade program encompassed various enhancements, including the replacement of windows. Copamate provided on-site window replacement services for the High Capacity Trains, further contributing to the overall improvement of Melbourne’s public transportation infrastructure.

Tram Refurbishment Program - A Class Tram Door Refurbishment
As an integral part of the tram refurbishment program, Copamate is deeply involved in the refurbishment of A-Class tram doors, ensuring enhanced safety and functionality for Melbourne’s public transport system.
Our role encompasses both refurbishing existing tram doors and manufacturing new, non-repairable doors to meet modern safety standards and passenger needs. In addition to door refurbishment, Copamate excels in metalworks, crafting various sheet metal parts such as exterior panels and side skirts. We also specialise in refurbishing fibreglass seat surrounds, ensuring a seamless integration of modern materials and technologies into the tram’s design.

V Line Z Class Parts
Copamate undertook a significant project in collaboration with the Victoria State Government, focusing on the manufacturing of bogie components for the V Line Z class trains. As part of this endeavour, our team meticulously followed the specifications provided by the government to ensure the precise production of bogie components essential for the operation of the Z class trains.
Leveraging our expertise in engineering and manufacturing, we upheld the highest standards of quality and precision throughout the process. Our commitment to excellence enabled us to deliver bogie components that met the stringent requirements of the project, contributing to the reliability and safety of the V Line Z class trains.

Z Class Tram Refurbishment

2017
Legacy Way Tunnel
Copamate, including its former subsidiary SIS Products, contributed significantly to the Legacy Way Tunnel project by providing essential engineering solutions. Specifically, we were tasked with designing and supplying a fire-rated electrical cable support system. This system played a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the tunnel’s electrical infrastructure.
With Copamate’s expertise in engineering and precision manufacturing, we were able to deliver a solution that met the rigorous safety standards required for tunnel environments. Our fire-rated cable support system not only provided robust support for the electrical cables but also enhanced the overall fire safety measures within the tunnel.
2014
Water Tower Clock Refurbishment
Copamate, through its former subsidiary SIS Products, played an integral role in the Water Tower Clock Refurbishment project at Southern Cross Station in Melbourne. Engaged to design and supply an electrical cable support system, our team ensured the highest standards of safety and functionality were met.
Given the critical nature of the project, particularly regarding fire safety, Copamate’s expertise in engineering and precision manufacturing proved invaluable. Our fire-rated electrical cable support system not only met but exceeded the stringent requirements of the project, ensuring the reliable operation of the Water Tower Clock while prioritising safety and compliance.
2011
Royal Adelaide Hospital
Copamate contributed to design and supply modular corridor supports for hospital services. A crane lifting modular was also designed to lift the assembled frames into the building. Around 3500 supports were supplied for the project.
